How we write readings

Every reading on Acharya Life is researched and reviewed by the Acharya Life expert collective: a small group with working knowledge of Western astrology, Vedic Jyotish and the Chinese zodiac. This page explains, step by step, how a reading gets from the sky to your screen, so you can judge for yourself how much weight to give it.

1. We start from the actual sky

Planetary positions are computed, not copied. The site uses an astronomical ephemeris to place the Sun, Moon and planets for the day. Vedic readings use the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsa, which is the standard used across Sri Lanka and India. Western readings use the tropical zodiac. Chinese readings use the year animal and element together with the day's energies.

2. One method per tradition

Each of the three systems has its own written method: which factors matter, how they are weighed, and what the reading must cover for love, career, money and health. A Vedic reading is not a Western reading with Sanskrit words swapped in. Keeping the methods separate is what lets us show you where the traditions agree and where they do not.

3. Daily readings are drafted every night

At midnight Indian Standard Time, the day's positions and each tradition's method are combined to draft 36 readings: twelve signs in each of the three systems. Drafting is AI-assisted. Every draft is checked automatically for missing sections, wrong field names and empty answers, and any sign that fails is regenerated before publication. If a day's reading cannot be produced, the page shows the most recent valid reading and says which date it is for, rather than showing a placeholder.

4. The collective reviews and corrects

Members of the expert collective read a sample of each day's output, check it against the method, and flag anything that reads as generic, contradictory or outside the tradition. Flagged patterns are fixed in the method itself so the same error does not recur. Readings for paid personal reports are researched and written by a member of the collective from your birth chart, with the chart tables computed by the same ephemeris, and are never generated automatically.

5. What we will not do

  • We do not predict deaths, illnesses, accidents or legal outcomes.
  • We do not tell you to make or avoid a specific medical, financial or legal decision.
  • We do not use fear to keep you reading. A reading may name a challenge; it will also name what you can do with it.
  • We do not sell remedies, charms or rituals as a fix for anything a reading says.

6. Corrections and contact

If a reading contains an error, or a date is wrong, write to hello@acharyalife.com with the page link. Corrections to published readings are made in place and the page's modified date is updated.
